The Murrumbateman Eagles are holding a Community Day event today (Saturday, March 13).

The event will be held at the home of Murrumbateman Football Club at the Murrumbateman Recreation Grounds and will begin at 3:00 pm.

All community members are invited to attend, with special activities for kids, registration for Auskick programs and a barbeque, all available on the day.

The community will also get an insight into how the Eagles seniors are shaping up for the 2021 season with an open training session on the day.

The club, which was founded in September 2017, is in an optimal position as the beginning of season 2021 draws near, according to Vice President and Junior Coordinator of the Murrumbateman Eagles, Brent Lello.

“We’ve got around 15 distinct sponsors this year, all from the community.”

“We like to think we are a part of the fabric of the Murrumbateman community,” he said.

With new coach and Murrumbateman local Brent Fraser taking the reins, the Eagles Vice President is optimistic about the Eagles chance of securing a maiden senior premiership.

“We are getting fantastic attendance to training in the preseason.”

“The boys are looking fit, their skills are looking silky, and it’s great to have this much training under their belt a few weeks before the season kicks off on April the 17th,” he said.

For all the Eagles fans out there, get down to the Murrumbateman Rec Ground to support the club on what should be a day filled with fun and community spirit.
