Police are appealing for witnesses after the Hume Highway was closed for several hours due to a B-double truck crash yesterday.

Emergency services were called at about 7am on Tuesday, May 10 after a B-double truck – travelling southbound – veered off the road, flipped onto its side and came to rest after sliding 200m.

The driver, a 28-year-old man, was trapped for two hours before being released. He was airlifted to Canberra Hospital with leg injuries. The passenger, a 23-year-old man, was not injured.

As inquiries continue, any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision from the time of the incident, is urged to contact Riverina Police District on 6922 2599.
