Swap Meet this Sunday

April 18th will see the Yass Valley Cruisers Car Club host their “Swap Meet” at the Yass Showgrounds.

Gates will open at the Showgrounds to the public from 6am Sunday, and expectations are high, according to Vice President of the Yass Valley Cruisers Car Club and Organiser of the Swap Meet, Ray Grech.

“We’ve had approximately 100 store holders at each event.”

“We are hoping and anticipating this year will be a larger event, simply because of Covid over the last 12 months.”

“With the lifting of restrictions, we are hoping that a lot of people will be taking advantage,” he said.

Ray suggested that whilst the Swap Meet is designed for motor enthusiasts; there would potentially be something on offer of interest to everybody.

“A swap meet encompasses mainly automotive objects, but it is also open to antiques and curiosities.”

“If you’re looking for car parts or complete cars for sale, there are also lots of collectibles and antiques that are available as well.”

“Obviously, it’s a good day out,” said Ray.

The Swap Meet will also provide car lovers with the opportunity to show off their collectable alongside the other collectable cars, with passers-by able to admire their beloved vehicles.

“We will have an area where cars will be parked to be put on display.”

“Anyone is more than welcome to bring their pride and joy along and park it alongside the other collectable cars and have their car there for other people to admire,” he said.
