Irish & Celtic Music Festival 2023. September 15th-17th
The above weekend will see Yass Valley coming alive again.
This event will be our 4th festival to provide the community with an exceptional opportunity to witness and enjoy many arts from very talented performers. Music of many genres, Poetry performances and competitions, including for the young ones. Dance workshops plus the chance to put on your dancing shoes. Buskers may well be seen in the street. Workshops will be available for several instruments, singing and no doubt some sing-alongs will happen. There will be a quiz or two just for fun, so popular last year.
An important feature of this festival is the Junior Fleadh (flar) free music and dance tuition, encouraging the youth to continue the Artistic Traditions. Celtic markets will be held on Saturday and Sunday at River Bank Park with entertainment there, as well as many other venues around town. We will all be spoilt for choice from Friday at 5pm- Sunday at 5pm.
WHAT THE COMMITTEE NEED….
Register on the website to be a volunteer, the festival is impossible to run without volunteers. You will receive a free ticket in return.
ACCOMMODATION! We need the community to host performers for at least 2 nights, urgently, this year is very difficult to find enough beds due to other events in town the same weekend. Your generosity will
earn you complimentary weekend tickets.
If any businesses would like to sponsor the festival, that particular business will be acknowledged in the festival booklet. On Facebook plus our website.
Advertising will be available in the festival booklet, you may be approached soon by a committee member.
