The ‘Hang Out’ is on again tonight at Zac’s Place

13 young people attended the inaugural ‘Hangout’ event at Zac’s Place in Yass offering free food and music in a safe space for youth to meet.

Organisers are hoping to double that attendance tonight (Thursday March 25th.)

The Yass Child, Youth and Family Interagency Group – in partnership with Ginninderry, Yass Valley Council, Anglicare, Capital Region Community Services and Zac’s Place created ‘The Hangout’ event for 12-17 years old who live in the Yass Valley to hang out, catch up with friends and make new ones.

This initiative has been developed based on feedback from young people in Yass Valley.

‘The Hangout’ will run on one Thursday a month (until June 2021 at this stage), 4:30pm-6:30pm, at Zac’s Place in Yass and will be staffed by qualified youth workers and counsellors from the partner organisations.
